The channel Retrospect69 launched on the 10 Feb 2017 with a Blue lamborghini logo as the PFP and the banner. It was also called Tankionlineisawsome due to my love of the game at the time.
It started with some content based on minecraft as the 1st upload: Vr in minecraft, was a VR based video of a minecraft map and the camera panning through the map itself. The video did not support the oculus but instead the google VR carboard box and any other mobile VR goggles. Then it posted a mix of content from IRL content to a varity of mobile games that I had installed and played through.
Then I competed in a Minecraft halloween house building competition with the build winning me a prize of a pin badge and the video is still live and watchable on the youtube channel as it shows me showing off the minecraft build I had made with a limited ammount of time.
Then on the 17th July 2020, I had started my 1st podcast called the tanki talks which was based on myself talking about a range of topics but during the podcasts lifetime, I mostly talked about roblox and any roblox news while I was in primary school, learning how to make, edit and produce a podcast episode. The last episode was aired on the 4th Febuary 2022 and now sits as a legacy podcast as it is kept public and viewable for archival reasons.
16th August 2020 is when I used my parents laptop to play some games on roblox and tanki online and recorded the gameplay on my parents phone but on the 26th august 2020, I decided to screen record the gameplay on my parents laptop and send over the footage to my phone where I would add a intro and outro to the video and upload it to youtube. During these times, I started to use a intro/outro where I would change it out with a better one until I realised that they are not needed anymore and so they were removed on the 24th november 2020 where I also focused more on roblox content as I had a growing intrest in playing roblox at the times and the great events roblox was hosting at the time.
But however, from the start of the youtube channel to 28 Apr 2023, the youtube channel seemed to have no sorts of direction as the videos was based around 1 thing. Gaming. But it was not consistent on 1 game as it convered a genre of games and some games didnt fit the same genre so the direction of the channel during this time was unclear and vague as I tried to chase the fame while also recording and having a good time playing these games. But during these times, I had also brought my 1st PC and started to get into editing which slightly increase the quality of production of the videos and even made some video projects which showcase how good my editing is. But even though their is some gems during these times, most are covered up by the low quality videos I was producing at the time and so, makes it harder to diffrenciate and see the videos as easily as I decided on 29 Apr 2023 to start to produce custom thumbnails for each videos and ever since it makes the videos not only alot more easier to see but also alot more easiser to tell the diffrance with also during this time making music content which consists of myself singing over a instrumental of a song. But I also increased my focus on the news industry as I had started to focus more of my content on the news side as it was a unique way to see my perspective on the matter at hand during this time as I had slowly started to show the direction of where this youtube channel is going with also making it less vague.
But then I started to make hitman content and even did a pistols only challange where I proceed to use the silent pistol only to eliminate targets and which I managed to get a far shot in one of the runs which I quickly try to register to the guinness world records but however it was denied.
But then on I started to make more content based on gaming and guides on how to do stuff and even made a couple more music videos around the games I liked with also starting another podcast called the Retrospect69 podcast which is a revival of the old The tanki talks podcast and using that as a way to post news content since I was burnt out at the time and I didnt feel like editing which also decrease the quality of the channel since it was only voice instead of a video which would open up the opportunity to editing and having a better quality video overall. It was atrted in may 25h 2025 with the last episode airing on the 2nd december 2025. with also a new podcast to replace it as at the time I was getting into radio and also starting my motosports journey as the new podcast is called Crashathon FM which is designed to replicate the burnout franchise radio show Crash FM with helpful tips and tricks to learn as you speed through the west midlands. It is a podcast I enjoyed doing since I love the burnout franchise and I still do it periodically.
But now in 2026, the focus of the channel is now definate as from now on, it will be focused on motosports and me trying to go from karting to F1 by any means nessary with also recording my journey their to show what I had to do in order to get into F1.
This Channel was Tankionlineisawsome and the channel name was changed on 15/08/22 to the short and modern look. Retrospect. This channel was Retrospect but on the 28/8/22 it was changed to Retrospect69.
This Channel Had a Blue Lamborghini as a Profile picture. but it was changed on the 24/5/23 to a Cleaner and Modernised look of the Channel! And on the same Day. The Banner was Changed also to fit the new theme of the Channel!
